A julep for the sophisticated drinker, this unique take has layers of complexity from the cognac, which is softened and brightened by just a touch of floral zing from the prosecco.

Derby Day

1 oz cognac

1 oz bourbon

.5 oz Mint-Lemon Syrup

6 mint leaves

1 oz prosecco

1 drop rosewater

Mint leaves are to be quickly middled in a steel julep cup, followed by spirits, mint syrup, and crushed ice. After stirring, top with prosecco and a mound of crushed ice. Garnish with a mint bush and rosewater.
